Collaboration with Liliane Foundation

This year, we have entered into a collaboration with the Liliane Foundation. We are proud of this partnership because we believe in the valuable work they do. One of the ways we support them is by helping them find IT professionals to ensure optimal performance of their ICT department.

About the Liliane Foundation

Did you know that 80% of all children with disabilities live in the poorest parts of the world? They face not only the challenges of their disabilities but also the stigma and social exclusion that come with it. Unfortunately, this often results in a lack of equal rights and opportunities. Fortunately, the Liliane Foundation is dedicated to changing this.

They focus on improving the quality of life and future prospects for children with disabilities. They work towards creating an accessible living, playing, and learning environment, and contribute to an inclusive society where everyone can participate.

However, they do not do this alone. Together with local partners, the Liliane Foundation works hard to support children and their parents in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

They do this by:

  • Providing support for their development.
  • Creating a more accessible environment.
  • Offering the best possible customized care.

Throughout their work, they always prioritize the needs, situation, and individuality of each child.

Enabling a child with a disability to participate in society requires more than just direct support for the child. That is why the Liliane Foundation also invests in knowledge and awareness within the community.

To achieve structural improvement, they advocate for policy changes in areas such as healthcare, education, employment, and income.

Our Contribution

As we highly value a world where equal rights and opportunities are a given, we are proud to collaborate with the Liliane Foundation.

By helping them find IT professionals, we ensure that their ICT department can perform optimally. One of our professionals has already started as a Project Leader, contributing to an organisation that no longer needs to worry about ICT issues.

Additionally, this year we will make quarterly donations to contribute to building a better world for children with disabilities.

Would you like to make a contribution as well? Donate now and help create a better world for children with disabilities!

G-Nius Anniversary gathering

Last Thursday, the G-Nius anniversary gathering finally took place! In honor of our 20th anniversary, we invited our contacts for a boat tour on the Binnendieze and a pleasant gathering to catch up after a long time. With beautiful weather, we enjoyed a journey through and especially under the city. This evening was a great opportunity to learn about the history of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the birthplace of G-Nius.

Boat tour on the Binnendieze

The Binnendieze is an ancient system of waterways within the walls of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. These narrow waterways used to flow behind the houses and were used to transport goods by ship. Additionally, it served as drinking water for the citizens of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, but the stream was also used as a sewer.

During the boat tour on the Binnendieze, the skipper shared fascinating stories with us about the history of the city and the restoration efforts. He showed us why the current form of the city, the layout of the streets, and the narrow houses that border the water at the back are so unique.

Gathering at Brasserie Bolwerk

After the boat tour, we concluded the evening at Brasserie Bolwerk. This brasserie is located in a unique location in the city center. Bolwerk Sint-Jan was built in 1528 to defend one of the main gateways. It was demolished at the end of the 18th century.

The brasserie is now situated within the city walls. The remnants of the last two gates, the city wall, a bulwark, and medieval street pavement are still clearly visible in the new building. From the sunny terrace, we enjoyed drinks and snacks.

We look back on a wonderful evening. We are delighted to have been able to speak and see everyone in person again. On behalf of the entire team, we thank everyone for their presence, the good company, and a beautiful evening!

G-Nius in Maastricht & Valkenburg | 2022

This year is a special year for us. Thanks to the dedication and involvement of our employees, G-Nius has grown into the company we are today. And we are incredibly proud of that! To celebrate this, we invited our colleagues and their partners for a weekend in Maastricht and Valkenburg, in the south of the Netherlands.

Staying at a unique location

Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that the Kruisherenhotel in Maastricht is a beautiful and unique venue. This design hotel is located in a former monastery and a monumental church near the famous Vrijthof square. We were warmly welcomed here, and during the coffee, accompanied by a slice of Limburgse vlaai, the special history and concept of the hotel were explained.

Each hotel room is unique and focuses on luxury and comfort. The rooms are characterized by the stylish contrast between centuries-old architecture and original design pieces by world-renowned designers. This applies to the entire hotel, by the way.

A rally down South

After a warm welcome, we boarded a vintage bus heading towards Chateau St. Gerlach in Valkenburg. This was the starting point of our rally. We explored the landscape of South Limburg in Daf cars while completing a number of tasks along the way. The rally ended in the center of Valkenburg, where we participated in a workshop to learn how to make our own cocktails. Meanwhile, the die-hard fans also secretly watched the F1 sprint race.

Anniversary year for G-Nius

After the vintage bus brought us back to the hotel, it was time to give extra thanks to some colleagues. 20 years of G-Nius is a wonderful milestone, and therefore Gijs-Jan Deenen deserved to be honored.

Leo Keller also has something to celebrate this year as he has been part of G-Nius for 10 years. First as an intern, now as the Commercial Director, and since March, also as a shareholder. But these two gentlemen are not the only colleagues celebrating their anniversaries. Frank Claassen has been a dedicated Business Manager at G-Nius for 5 years.

Dining in an old quay cellar

We ended the day with a delightful dinner at the Harbour Club Maastricht restaurant. This restaurant is located in one of the old quay cellars of the historic inner harbor, ‘t Bassin, in Maastricht. Here, we enjoyed beautiful seasonal dishes.

We had a fantastic weekend with our colleagues and their partners. There was lots of laughter, and it was a great opportunity to get to know each other better. We see this weekend as an investment in our team and our company.

We are incredibly grateful and proud that we were able to celebrate this anniversary together. Here’s to the next 20 years!
