At the beginning of this year, Jeroen Wagner started as a Program Manager/Senior Project Manager web-EPD at Pro Persona through a secondment-to-permanent construction. This week, Sjoerd visited Jeroen to catch up. A great opportunity to ask him some questions about our collaboration. Among other things, how did he, as an IT professional, end up at G-Nius and why would he recommend us?an interview with it-professional Jeroen Wagner

As a Program Manager/Senior Project Manager web-EPD, you work at Pro Persona. What exactly do you do?

This means that I mainly involve myself with a project at a strategic level to ensure it is well integrated throughout the organization. Once the project is well integrated within the organization, my task is essentially complete. However, many issues surface after this project that need to be addressed, and there are certainly plenty of opportunities to keep me busy and entertained even after this project. With the current project at Pro Persona, we hope to reach the conclusion by the end of this year.

It’s a project that had to be undertaken very quickly. Last November, G-Nius approached me for this position, but not much was clear about the project then. The deadline was initially set for July 1, 2024, but fortunately, we have been able to push it to the end of this year. Additionally, the organization was far from ready to tackle such a large project that impacts the work of all employees.

What does that mean for the organization?

Ultimately, it hopefully means as little as possible for the organization. The project involves transitioning from a standard application to a web environment. The functionalities remain the same, but it looks completely different. Employees need to continue doing the same work but in a more modern setting. Therefore, it is crucial that the adoption goes smoothly and the translation from the current to the new environment happens properly and thoroughly.

How did you end up at G-Nius?

Some time ago, I was looking for another job, and just before securing a position elsewhere, G-Nius had a great opportunity for me at the Province of Brabant. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the position. The Province of Brabant called back to ask if they could keep my portfolio. A week later, G-Nius was called with another great opportunity for me, but by then, I was already employed by the Municipality of Eindhoven.

I agreed with G-Nius to stay in touch because the collaboration was very pleasant. After a year and a half, I realized I wasn’t in the right place, and they offered me a great position at Pro Persona as a Program Manager/Senior Project Manager web-EPD.

What has G-Nius accomplished for you?

A great place!

What is the best company party or team outing of G-Nius that you have attended?

I’ve only been to one so far, but it was a successful company party. It was a great combination of doing something active and chatting with the people who were there. I really felt like part of a whole. I’m looking forward to the next one!

How does G-Nius distinguish itself?

The personal approach. G-Nius immediately knew my situation, including my knowledge level and experience. They looked beyond the first five terms on my LinkedIn profile. They knew everything up to the last detail about my capabilities and made a great match based on that.

Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that this is not the standard way of working with other companies; I wish it were. At G-Nius, they understand this. That personal approach makes it very interesting for me to work with G-Nius.

Would you recommend G-Nius and why?

Because of the Bossche Bollen, of course, ????! Mainly due to their personal approach and their approach towards the clients. It works. As a result, you become a partner, understand each other, and nothing is off-limits. You can discuss anything.
