Your Project Role
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join the team and lead strategic IT projects in the realm of EDI, interfaces, and in-house development for Air & Ocean. This is a project-based role located on-site in the Paris area, with an anticipated duration of approximately 12 months, structured into renewable 3-month contracts. Your mission will focus on planning, coordinating, and executing these IT projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Additionally, you will support business analysis to optimize processes such as supplier onboarding while addressing the specific needs of the organization.
You will act as the bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, balancing priorities and enforcing critical decisions to ensure the project’s success.
What Will You Do?
– Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for IT initiatives, including EDI and interface solutions.
– Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration across developers, analysts, testers, and other stakeholders.
– Enforce decisions and manage conflicting priorities to ensure the project stays on track.
– Perform business analysis on critical processes, such as supplier onboarding, identifying and implementing areas for improvement.
– Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, such as risk logs, specifications, and test plans.
– Monitor budgets and resource usage, making adjustments to meet financial objectives.
– Deliver regular updates and management presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
A Day in the Life of this Project
Your day begins with a project stand-up meeting, where you align the team on progress and address any immediate challenges. Next, you update the project plan, ensuring all milestones are on track and any resource conflicts are resolved. After lunch, you collaborate with technical teams to evaluate EDI workflows and interface designs. In the afternoon, you review test scripts or cutover plans and prepare a presentation for senior management. By the end of the day, you’ve ensured progress is aligned with goals and that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
What You Bring
– A University Degree in IT, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
– 8–10+ years of IT Project Management experience, with a proven record of managing complex IT projects from initiation to completion.
– Fluent in English; French proficiency is required.
– Formal structured project management qualification (e.g., Prince II, PMP, Agile).
– Expertise in project management tools such as Planisware, MS Project, or similar.
– Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, EDI, and interfaces.
– Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to enforce decisions and align diverse teams.
– Business analysis skills to evaluate and enhance processes like supplier onboarding.
