G-Nius Business Day 2021

G-Nius Business Day 2021

Thursday the 26th of November it was time for the annual G-Nius Business Day. During the business day, we looked back as a team to the past year and we focused on 2021. It was also a great moment for the team to see and speak to each other personally during this turbulent time.

Last year was a year that we had never experienced before. Full of good cheer and great plans, the new year started at G-Nius on January 1, 2020. The Dutch economy was running at full speed and G-Nius was ready to rock. These plans also included an expansion of the team. In March, Mike joined the team as Business Manager and in September, Suzanne started with the focus on marketing and communication.

At the end of February, disturbing noises came from China about COVID-19, the Coronavirus. When the virus also reached the Netherlands in March, there was a lockdown, just like in the rest of the world. This brought a lot of uncertainty and changes for everyone.

A number of things also changed at G-Nius. For example, we started working from home. That took some getting used to for us. Mainly because we consider personal contact with our relations important. Fortunately, our Business Managers do everything they can to stay in contact with our clients and professionals as much as possible. The use of video calls is therefore indispensable in our working method.

After the first wave and now in the second wave, it is clear that G-Nius has a strong position. By not only maintaining contact but also by continuing to listen to our relations, G-Nius has been able to invest extra in a solid collaboration.

Fortunately, we at G-Nius are all healthy. We have made great plans for 2021. During the G-Nius Business Day, our team presented these plans to each other. This has led to new insights and inspiration for next year.

We hope that we will be able to personally visit our relations again next year. And if that does not work, we will put even more energy into maintaining our contacts at a distance.

We look forward to a healthy and successful 2021!

G-Nius Binnendieze Event 2020

Since 2001, we have been organizing the G-Nius Binnendieze Event with great pleasure every year. An event specially designed for the clients and partners of G-Nius. This tradition provides everyone with the opportunity to meet again and catch up in a relaxed atmosphere.

The boat tour along the beautiful Binnendieze in ‘s-Hertogenbosch offers a unique chance to enjoy the charming historical city center. Experience the conviviality and get acquainted with the city where it all began for G-Nius.

Unfortunately, 2020 is a year in which the Coronavirus has had a significant impact. This has also affected events and gatherings that we were eagerly looking forward to, such as the G-Nius Binnendieze 2020 Event. But don’t worry, you can definitely expect this wonderful event from us in the future!

Next year marks the 20th edition, which gives us even more reason to organize this beautiful event for our clients and partners. We will certainly keep you informed about it in due time.

For now, we wish you a lot of perseverance and above all, good health!

SNA certification G-Nius | October 2020

This week we have had the periodic check for the SNA certification. We are proud to announce that we have passed the check positive which means that we are still SNA certified (NEN-4400-1).

What is SNA?

SNA stands for Stichting Normering Arbeid. Their goal is to achieve self-regulation to prevent fraud and illegality in the employment mediation industry and in all forms of contracting or subcontracting work. To achieve this goal, they monitor companies active in this field. After a positive inspection, they award their SNA quality mark.

The SNA Quality Mark

The SNA works together with several branch organizations. As a result, the quality mark has broad national support. The quality mark limits the risks for clients and contractors in the context of hiring and chain liability. When a client makes use of an employment mediation company with the SNA quality mark, there is a tax indemnity under certain conditions.

In order to retain the SNA quality mark, G-Nius is inspected twice a year by an accredited inspection organisation. During this inspection we are assessed and checked for:

•  The identification of the company;
•  The declaration and payment of payroll taxes and sales tax owed (in the Netherlands);
•  Compliance with the Minimum Wage and Minimum Holiday Allowance Act;
•  Preventing risks of liability and fines resulting from borrowing and lending or outsourcing work;
•  Performing an identity check and checking whether you are entitled to perform work in the Netherlands.

In addition, the administration and storage of the required documents is checked.

What does this mean for our clients?

The SNA awards the SNA quality mark to companies that are active in job placement. With this quality mark, G-Nius shows that it is a reliable partner that meets the requirements of the SNA.

When a client chooses to collaborate with G-Nius, they can be indemnified against any liability claim by the Tax Authorities with regard to unpaid wage taxes and turnover tax by the private employment agency.

We believe it is important to be an honest and reliable IT consultancy company for our clients and contractors. That is why we are very proud to receive the SNA certification once more. In this way, we can offer security for both clients and contractors.

If you have any questions about G-Nius or about our SNA certification after reading this article? Please feel free to contact us via info@g-nius.nl or (+31) 073 610 14 69.

G-Nius mini Business day 2020

The G-Nius mini Business day was held on Thursday 27 August in the Mengfabriek, in the former compound feedingfactory Van de Heus. The meeting took place in the striking square building with the tower on the Diezekade. During this semi-annual meeting, we looked back as a team at the successes achieved in recent months. It was a good time to discuss the current state of affairs. Especially after the uncertain time that the Corona crisis has entailed.

Of course we have also looked ahead to the coming months. Our business managers have presented their plans and objectives to close the year with good results.

We then boarded a sloop with which we sailed on the Stadsdommel, the Aa, Zuid-Willemsvaart city route, the Dieze and the Ertveldplas. During this cruise we enjoyed a delicious barbecue and had a drink.

It was a successful afternoon that gave us extra positive energy. And we look forward to the last months of this year. Do you want to know what G-Nius can do for you? Then look for the possibilities for professionals and clients on our website. Or contact one of our Business Managers.

Onboarding during Corona

John Goewie:
As an integration middleware specialist in a very broad IT field, mainly in interface and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), I am often approached by various secondment agencies. Normally i do no trespond to these offers as the majority have an impersonal approach which does not suit me.

I like to have a face-to-face relationship with each other and I also look for an agency who gradually guides and supports me. Moreover, sees me as the person I am and what I believe is essential within a work environment. This was exactly the difference that G-Nius made, in particular their approach and listening to what I was looking for in a new challenge which would make me happy.

It started three years ago when Leo Keller approached me for an informal conversation and we immediately had a pleasant talk. Just to get to know each other and what we stand for in life, what my background in work history has been and that the balance of life and work is very important to me. From that moment on Leo has been in my phone as a contact (which I never do) simply to not forget him and to keep in touch for possibilities in the future.

During these 3 years we have had occasional contact with each other to see where we stand and whether there are opportunities to do something for each other. Never pushy and always in a nice light-hearted manner.

Just before COVID-19 took place we had contact gain. I was already looking for something different in terms of a job with new challenges. At that time, it took me a lot of effort to travel every day throughout the Netherlands. It made me unhappy. The Netherlands has changed and we are stuck in traffic for so long. I wanted to be closer to home and had other wishes.

After discussing my wishes with Leo, he immediately came up with some suggestions that could help me in my current situation.

After 3 years, the right time had finally come to discuss this. I was looking for something special, G-Nius offered. It was an immediate hit with the first job profile. A job that suits me perfectly and also gave additional challenges that I was looking for. Leo guided and advised me throughout this process to this employer.

I quit my old employer and took an extra month of holiday before starting my new challenge.

Then COVID-19 came. That scared me a lot as it gave many uncertanties? Will I still have a job? I just quit my job and took a vacation right during the COVID-19 outbreak and was suppose to start in a new role on short term.
Leo and I kept each other informed during this holiday period  and fortunately, it continued because of the relationship of trust that the employer has with G-Nius, and also in me.

At the moment I work at home for this employer and it is going very well. I am very content and it gives me a nice feeling that I have a supporter like G-Nius. I enjoy my work again and I also have new challenges. In addition, I can support various customers in their path to automation which is energizing for me.

I am convinced that we are going to have a good time and would like to express my thanks to G-Nius for finding my new challenge.

The Coronacrisis | G-Nius

It has been a month since de first person in the Netherlands was ‘officially’ diagnosed with the Coronavirus. In the meantime there are many uncertanties and situations develop which are new to anyone. These new situations bring no difference in the way we support our clients and professionals.

We do have some extra tips for the upcoming period which we should highlight:
– Make goals for yourself;
– Stay in your rhytm;
– Exercise, it is crucial to remain active
– Keep the 1,5 meter distance
– Read the book you have been postponing
– Give your social contacts a call to maintain a good relationship

By addressing the tips above we can remain healthy and make the best out of this period. Together we will manage the Corona crisis.

If you have any questions regarding our services, please contact one of our Business Managers.

Keep up the good work!
